Security
Member security is a top priority here at Bishopstown Credit Union. Protecting the privacy of our Members' personal information, as well as all financial transactions, is of the utmost importance to us. We strive to offer online convenience without compromising on the security of our systems. This is why we have several mechanisms in place to provide such a high level of security for our members.
Account Access
Access to your account online will only be granted when you have the correct login ID, password and answer to the randomly generated security question. You will select the questions on your initial login to the system.
Your branch initially provides the Login ID and Password to you. Without this information, no individual can log into your account.
The security of our online access area is enhanced with security images and security phrases. This helps protect your details and your money.
Transactions
Bishopstown Credit Union 's CU 24/7 produces a "receipt" for all transactions made. This receipt is printable and should be kept for your records should you have any further questions regarding the transaction. It provides the user with important information such as the transaction number, and the date and time the transaction was made.
Encryption Security
128-bit encryption is mandatory for using CU 24/7. You will not be able to perform any banking functions if your browser does not meet this encryption level.
User/Browser Security Information
Even with all of these security measures in place, members should also take additional measures to ensure the security of their personal information. Here are some precautions you should follow to maximise your online protection:
- Never write your Login ID, Password, Security phrase or questions anywhere
- Avoid using obvious words as your Password.
